The topic is ‘Beekeepers Question Time’, in a format similar to Radio 4’s Gardener’s Question Time. We have three panellists, Ken Trussler, Derek Western and Joleen Riley taking questions from the audience, hosted by Steve Delo.
Ken is a full-time commercial beekeeper, queen breeder and owner of Tadley Honey Bees.
Derek is a large-scale hobbyist beekeeper and director of Basingstoke Honey Ltd and sells his honey at regional markets, craft fairs and local events.
Joleen, representing the smaller scale hobbyist, owns Look What Hive Made Ltd specialising in honey, alongside homemade jams, chutneys and relishes. She is also a tutor on the Introduction to Beekeeping Course.
We all know if you ask three beekeepers a question you’ll get four or more answers.
